Ingud (In-Good-Company) had stayed with Cenric through the worst of it because she believed that Adrik had taken after herself more than he had taken after Cenric. She had shielded Adrik from Cenric more than Adrik would realize in his youth, later the Journal she kept would set the record straight. The day, the worst day, she had been planning for finally came. Young Adrik finally stood his ground against Cenric and Cenric finally paid for his abuse...

Ingud knew this day was bound to happen and she had been planning for it, as much as anyone can. She kept a private journal full of stories both good and bad to pass onto Adrik when he had to flee, she held back money in reserve, and packed a kit that would keep the young man alive until her Company could find him and help him. She also knew that she could not flee with him, the damage done of revealing Adrik's lycanthropy was bad enough, if she fled she to would become a target for the townfolk and their fear.

Cenric's condition was another reason she could not flee with Adrik. Cenric managed to break Adrik's nose, Adrik would have barely noticed his blood dripping through his rage but Ingud knew that the chances were high that Cenric was at risk of infection. Adrik had attacked savagely and with little regard to the spread of a condition that he knew little about. Ingud had to wait, she had to know, did the father now take after the son.
