This chemical formula allows one to simultaneously create multiple duplicate documents. The simplest form is a black sheet of paper formed with inks embedded in dry form with thin wax. This is placed between pages to allow pressing of a pen or stylus against the top sheet to imprint upon the next layer. A more involved variant embeds the pigments into a specially prepared page itself, so that no separate carbon paper is necessary. The exact layering of the document pages is non-modular with this variant, however. With either variation up to five copies may be made at once. Due to the nature of magic, Carbon Copies are not by themselves inherently magical. Even when creating magic that relies on writing, Carbon Copies cannot copy the magic of the original document.
