An apprentice can recognise planets, constellations, and knows many individual stars' names. A journeyman has some appreciation for the heavens in a 3D sense, and can determine position in space-time. If they know where they are, they can use the stars to tell the time to within half an hour. If they know the accurate time, then they can use stars to determine one's position on the globe. Journeyman astronomers can also calculate and predict eclipses, recurring meteor showers, and many comets. Master astronomers have wisdom regarding celestial bodies beyond what even the strongest eyes can see.
